Daffy Duck is a salesman for a futuristic appliance company, who, against Elmer Fudd's will, modernizes Fudd's house with many screwball gadgets, none of which work in Fudd's favor.
Every time you push one of those buttons, something happens to me.
Daffy Duck: Well, I'll tell you what, this time, you push a button.
Elmer Fudd: Alwight.
Elmer Fudd: I think I'll push this wed one.
Daffy Duck: No! No! No! No! No! Not the wed one! Don't ever push the wed one!
When Daffy lowers the second floor to first floor level, we can see there is a useless outer door on the second floor.
In some prints of the cartoon, the part where Elmer wants to go upstairs but discovers his stairs are missing is not present, and just fades to Daffy explaining there are no stairs in a home like that and takes Elmer up on a moving platform.
