  • Updated, entertaining and "who cares" operetta nonsense by Ralph Benatzky with nice music and songs, that are sung by the cast of which most of them can not really sing, but who cares; silly dances add to the fun. Paul Martin directs with skill, but his personal touch has already gone.

Adrian Hoven is a much better partner for beautiful Sonja Ziemann than her then regular partner Rudolf Prack. Rudolf Platte is in very fine form and has hilarious moments, but credit for hysterically funny moments must go to Willy Trenk-Trebitsch using no more than his facial expression: I will never look again at a plate of food without first thinking of him.
