Clearly, different cockpits were used in different shots. The altimeter keeps switching back and forth between two quite different designs and layouts.

At the end, the wing commander is told that Lindsay has come to see him. The wing commander is puzzled and at first cannot remember who Lindsay is. But that makes no sense, since it was Lindsay who came to see him in the first place to set in motion the whole chain of events that led to the wing commander being praised for his initiative.
