A movie adaptation of Homer's second epic, that talks about Ulysses' efforts to return to his home after the end of ten years of war.
Submitted to the British Board of Film Censors by Archway and passed with a "U" certificate on 24 May 1955. Premiered in London on 14 July 1955 at the Marble Arch Pavilion where it ran 15 weeks, easily Archway's most successful release.

There are inconsistencies of scale with the giant Polyphemus: for instance a human scale wineskin is nearly as big in his hand as the sailor he devours.
