Two bumbling Americans stumble on the discovery of a lifetime when their search for a mummy leads them to a sacred medallion that holds the key to buried treasure.
What the French-speaking cafe showgirl (Veola Vonn) says to Lou Costello is, "But it's important. I hope you don't take me as a fool because I'm a poor little woman who needs to work to earn her bread. But you don't need to be such an ass to be with me." She repeats the second sentence to Bud Abbott a moment later.
Lou Costello aka Freddie Franklin:
Ask Klaris, he's the one that got us into this.
Bud Abbott aka Peter Patterson: And he's going to get us out of it.
When Abbott unfurls the newspaper to look for the pictures of the dead Dr. Zoomer, it is apparent that there is no printing on any of the interior pages; all the sheets are blank white.
In the final credits, the boys are listed with fake character names. Throughout the movie, they use their real names.
