Trivia

Two major episodes in the movie that do not appear in the novel, are the arrival in Spain by gas balloon, and the bullfighting scene.

Quotes

Railway Official: There's still fifty miles of track to be laid between here and Allabahad.
Phileas Fogg: But the London newspapers announced the opening of this railway throughout.
Railway Official: That must have been The Daily Telegraph. Never would have read that in The Times.

Goofs

In the saloon, when the cigar salesman takes a swing at Fogg, he misses Fogg and Fix, yet Fix reels anyway.

Crazy Credits

The last line of dialogue is "This is the end". The closing credits then begin with the words WHO WAS SEEN IN WHAT SCENE ... AND WHO DID WHAT. The story is then recapped in 6 minutes of simple, minimally animated cartoon images, allowing the names of the many cast members who each appeared in just one scene to be shown in relation to that scene. Some of the crew credits (WHO DID WHAT) are interspersed with the cast credits. The very last thing shown is the film's title.

Alternate Versions

The DVD version of the film adds nearly 12 minutes of previously deleted material. Most prominently, a 4-minute scene with Cantinflas out-riding a group of Sioux on horseback after falling off the train. In previous versions, the scene ended after his falling off. Also, the full intermission, entr'acte, and exit music segments are re-instated.
