| Too much of a brain strain...
An overly clunky, wordy, post war thriller about an evil criminal mastermind who arrives in London bent on peddling his counterfeit trade. On his tail is an American officer seconded to MI5 who investigates as "Dumetrius" (Ronald Adam) leaves a trail of death behind him as he searches for a hidden cache of millions of US dollars. The script is all over the place and Danny Green (think "One-Round" from "The Ladykillers") is completely miscast as "Yotti Blum" - a French secret agent with an accent even "Inspector Clouseau" would have been ashamed off! The action scenes are few and far between and straight out of Laurel & Hardy. It's also quite amusing that it is impossible to establish which (if any) of the actors was a redhead in this black and white film!
