Amazon Prime has released an awesome new promo spot for their upcoming hardcore superhero series The Boys. This promo focuses on the character played by Karen Fukuhara, who is known as The Female, and as you’ll see she a brutal and deadly badass superhero killer!
In a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, The Boys centers on a group of vigilantes known informally as “The Boys,” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than their blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty. The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Amazon has released another trailer for their upcoming superhero series The Boys, and in my opinion, this is the best trailer yet! This think is locked and loaded with all kinds of insane, brutal, bloody, and badass footage that I know you’re going to enjoy!
The show is based on the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and this series looks like it’s going to be awesomely fun! Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have been developing the series, and it stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as "Wee" Hughie Campbell, Karen Fukuhara as The Female, and Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk. Simon Pegg is also a part of the series as the father of Hughie, who was modeled after him in the comics.
I love that the creative team is going all-out crazy with this series! Like a baby with laser eyes being used to decapitate someone’s head.
