This film is one of four films that Tony Curtis made in 1958. The other three are The Vikings (also with Janet Leigh, as well as Kirk Douglas, Ernest Borgnine), The Defiant Ones (with Sidney Poitier), and Kings Go Forth (with Frank Sinatra and Natalie Wood).

When Lt. Loren falls into the grape crushing vat, she is shown submerged up to the top of her uniform, with some grape juice getting on her cap. When she sits up, she only has grape juice up about halfway on her sleeves, and nothing on her cap. When she returns to the hotel, her uniform is just spotty with grape juice, as if she had it spilled on her, and not as if she had been sitting in it.
