Sixties sitcom star Frank Aletter has died at his home in Tarzana, California.
The veteran character actor, who starred in U.S. TV hits Bringing Up Buddy and It’s About Time was 83.
Aletter also made his name as a Broadway actor in the 1950s and appeared in the movies Tora! Tora! Tora! and Mr. Roberts.
He also made guest appearances in TV shows Perry Mason, M*A*S*H, Dallas, Kojak and Murder, She Wrote.
Aletter was once married to actress and former Miss America Lee Meriwether.
He lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday.
