A man who cannot read or write is given a letter that says he is the inheritor of two million pesos, which starts off a series of events regarding his job, love, and education.
In the Telemundo version that aired on September 4th, 2006, a CGI blackboard(with a CGI eraser optically added, as well) is placed at the top and bottom of the screen to hide the letterbox format. The credits are also sped up and some scenes are removed so the film can fit in a two-hour time slot with commercials. Most of the film is shown in a pan-and-scan format.
