    • Trivia
Filming started with Jean Aurel in the director's chair, in what would have been his feature directing debut. However Aurel quickly ran afoul with the cast & crew, and after three weeks, star Brigitte Bardot told the producers she'd quit if he wasn't replaced. The producers, dismayed with how the film was shaping, quickly agreed and Roger Vadim was approached. Vadim took the film on as a favor to Bardot and associate producer Francis Cosne, rewrote the script with Claude Brulé and kept a few bits filmed by Aurel to not let three weeks of work go completely to waste. Aurel remains completely uncredited in the film, be it for the script or directing.

    Charming, Semi-Ditzy Bardot!
Ms. Bardot, as always, is charming and delightful and has a cool little studio apartment in this lovely pastiche. It's perfectly cast with very few semi-nude scene and Brigitte is delightfully in love with a yuppie fool who can't see the light. BB's suitor is funny and attentive and worthy of her attention.

A 6 out of 10. Best performance = Ms. Bardot. She made only a few great films, but is always worth a look because of her presence. Great photography and locales in France. I'm surprised BB doesn't have more of a following, but I realize she hasn't made a film since '73. I've seen about half of her films and enjoyed most of them. Check them out.
