The pilot did not contain the "They're Cousins/Identical Cousins" theme song for which the show is famous. The only actors and actresses which were in the pilot and the regular show were Patty Duke who played Cathy and Patty Lane. The mother was played by Jean Byron just as she played the character in the regular series; and Eddie Applegate played Richard in the pilot and series; the rest of the actors in the series were different.
