The two top agents of the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement fight the enemies of peace, particularly the forces of THRUSH.
The stunts were usually done by actors David McCallum and Robert Vaughn as well as by stuntmen, and the best version was used. McCallum wasn't too keen on heights and Vaughan wasn't too keen on water - so they tried to avoid those stunts.

Throughout the run of the series there was a large globe of the world used in the UNCLE office. However, it didn't appear to be current as it seemed to be from the middle of WW II. The colors for Europe seemed to reflect the conquests by the Axis powers, as well as the occupation of parts of China and southeast Asia by Japan.
