PINK TEARS is a tear-jerking melodrama from the Shaw Brothers stable, made a few years before they went big with action movies. This one's about a young and successful woman who contracts tuberculosis and all of the problems that arise. It's a steadfast mix of tragedy, romance and family drama, with lots of heartfelt dialogue and characters experiencing myriad emotions. Not bad in and of itself, but rather slow for an action lover like me.
