| great film
I have been looking for a VHS or DVD of this film also. I've seen it and it is very good indeed. Catherine Deneuve is wonderful Casel (sic) is great. And the score by Georges Delerue is one of the best he ever did. I will not give away the story but just recall that the "ice cream" scene and the "best selling book scene" are hilarious. The film has De Broca's characteristic comic and romantic resonances--but I think even more delightfully crafted than in That Man From Rio--also an excellent film and better than King of Hearts which I think has become something of a cult film. I have been looking for it everywhere--from the major online video suppliers to independents I have even asked friends in Europe if they can find it--and friends in Hollywood.

It seems to have vanished into thin air. Does anyone know where to find it?
