Leonard Nimoy received Emmy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor in a Dramatic Role for each of the show's three seasons. These would be the only Emmy Award nominations in acting categories for any series in the Star Trek franchise.
I'm a doctor, not an engineer.
Spock (Leonard Nimoy) holds the rank of Commander based on the rank stripes on his uniform (two solid gold bands), however there are several times throughout the series where he is referred to as Lieutenant Commander. However a Lieutenant Commander's rank stripes consist of one solid gold band and one dashed/segmented band.
In the latter part of the first season, the credit, in all-uppercase, for "SCRIPT SUPERVISOR", has the first word misspelled "SCPIPT".
A one-hour retrospective on Star Trek featuring Leonard Nimoy was produced in 1983 prior to production of Star Trek III. This videotaped special is often syndicated and shown in Canada as the 80th episode of "Star Trek" (1966). An edited version of the original pilot, "The Cage," was sometimes syndicated with the series in the 1990s, just before the Sci-Fi Channel obtained exclusive rights.
