The Dacian kingdom lies at the eastern border of the Roman Empire.Only the river Danube separates the two mortal enemies.The Dacian king Decebalus knows that soon the vastly superior Roman legions will cross the river and attack Dacia.
In France this film was released on March 31, 1967. The French version was called "Les Guerriers" and was adapted by Jacques Remy. It contains a few extra battle scenes that are not present in the Romanian version. The French distributor had exclusive distribution rights for France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg and the French colonies in Africa and Asia. The rights for worldwide distribution went to the Canadian company Paris-Montreal Distribution in April of 1968.
The movie mentions the "week" as a measure of time, but that was not part of the culture, and even the Romans had only a 8-day week for hundreds of years after the time of the movie.
