August 1944. The Allies are approaching Paris and residence groups within the city start to plan an uprising against the Germans. However, Hitler wants the city destroyed if it looks like the Allies will take it.
In at least one version of this film, all of E.G. Marshall's scenes as Intelligence Officer Powell were cut out.
