A movie full of mystery and charm with characters who are mysterious as well. The atmosphere of the beautiful region o South West of France, and then Paris, gives another charming and pleasant background. The actors play in a very simple, sober yet full of feeling. It is a good movie to see and see again.
  • On paper "Bye Bye Barbara" has all the ingredients in place for an intriguing mystery (starting with a disappearance and a possibly staged car "accident"), but the movie fails to ignite them; it's stylish and offbeat but languorous and way too long. It reminded me of some Claude Chabrol films of around the same period, but even more subdued. ** out of 4.
