TV Series | TV-G | | Comedy, Family, Music
The humorous adventures of a family of pop musicians.
In a few of the early episodes, David Cassidy didn't sing. He lip synched to another singer's voice in a couple of episodes.
Shirley Renfrew Partridge:
...Let me explain something to you. I'm your mother, and in that way I'll always belong to all of you. But I'm also a woman. And even with five children whom I love very much, and who I know love me, there are times when I still feel lonely.
The Partridge Family was a well-known enough group to obtain a booking at King's Island amusement park across the country from the California home, but not wealthy enough to travel in a chauffeured coach or even by air to most of their other gigs. Either they are a minor local group or they are nationally known; the two cannot both hold true.
The voices and music of the Partridge Family were augmented by other performers.
The first season episodes originally featured the theme song's initial version titled "When We're Singin'". Subsequently, on cable reruns, the rewritten version that first appeared on the 2nd season, "C'mon Get Happy" is used for the whole series.
