Keep the faith, don´t loose hope and show some charity
There are three stories in this film, each one named after the main title. The first one "Fe" (faith) is the story of a woman who travels to a far away town in order to get a miracle to save his husband from a disease. On the way she will get raped over, and over by the pilgrims she goes with. After she comes back home, the miracle is done...and she vows to come back next year. The second story: "Esperanza" (Hope) is about a man who consents to be nailed to a cross in order to be shown in a freak "JesusChrist show". Hoping to help his mother that way. The problem? Silver nails in order to avoid infections were too expensive. The third one: "Caridad" (Charity) gives us one of Katy Jurado´s best performances. A humble woman faces the lack of charity from the powers that be. The worst of nightmares emerge after she and her son get in a fight because of a childish fight and his husband gets killed...bureaucracy. A fine and entertaining mexican film worth watching.
