When the biplanes strafe the trucks they let out the iconic 'jericho trumpet' sound of a WWII Stuka dive bomber. Also, they should hardly be over-revving anyway in a strafing and bombing role.
During the whole movie, the Greek Army appears as an ally of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. Never in the history of the two nations, was an alliance between Greece and Turkey.
During the strafing of the Greek Army camp, a Greek flag appears with the wrong colors (blue cross on a white field and the first stripe from the top being white, instead of white cross on a blue field and the top stripe blue). Even if the flag was hand made on the spot, a true Greek officer or soldier would have never made that mistake.
The movie is set in 1922, but a contemporary Canadian flag appears on the wall in the tavern. In 1970, when the film was made, the Canadian flag shown had only existed for five years.
