The meanest villain in the West falls for a pretty schoolteacher and tries to change his ways, but a determined (and egomaniacal) singing sheriff is out to capture him.
Based on characters created in the 1969 pilot for an unproduced series entitled "Sheriff Who?", so called because every week there would be a new sheriff (played by a guest star), who would be killed by Evil Roy Slade.
Try harder, Roy. Try to cry. If you can release one tear, it'll help you
Evil Roy Slade: I don't know how to cry.
Doctor Delp: Think. Think harder. Think about your lonely youth: no friends, no home, no warmth, no affection... cactus in your diaper
Doctor Delp: Yes! Yes, there's a tear! ...
The psychiatrist uses ink blots (also called the "Rorschach" test) with Slade. These were not developed until the 1920s, well after the period depicted here.
