  • So-so Spanish comedy with the likeable actress Lina Morgan and a great plethora of Spanish actors . Mediocre but fun comedy dealing with a naive small town girl called Benita (Lina Morgan) , when his aunt Agata dies she moves from Almeria to the capital Madrid to begin a new life, seeking love and suitors (as she meets a lot : José Luis López Vazquez , José Sacristan , Antonio Ozores) . However , things go wrong when she becomes involved with bad girls (Florinda Chico , Maria Paz Pondal , Teresa Hurtado) living in Madrid Costa Fleming - until she meets Don Carlos, a good-looking doctor (Angel Aranda) .

Funny and uneven comedy , appointed for all kind of public about a silly premise : a young woman moves to Madrid seeking love and freedom , nevertheless things don't go as planned ; being regularly directed by the prolific Mariano Ozores . The hilarious happenings are continuous , surrealist , ridiculous and sometimes gross-out , but in some moments here and there , they are also bold and risible . This film is made to entertain , and this movie , especially for a good time and a pleasant amusement . Bemusing story with enjoyable but also absurd moments and attractive acting by likable comedians : Lina Morgan , José Luis López Vazquez , Antonio Ozores and José Sacristán . Here there are some nice jokes , comical sketches and the cast , playing eccentric characters , make a cosy fit . It is a nutty Spanish comedy that offers no intellectual stimulus whatsoever , though it has some entertaining and hilarious moments . The film attempts to give laughs but it falls short , resulting in a mediocre and sometimes embarrassing film . An enticing but disconcerting Spanish comedy film and with its ups and downs ; here our protagonist , the great Lina Morgan , demonstrates her real comical skills . The movies she played were funny and with many support's actors . The films were with short budget and lackluster but including comedy and lots of fun , and many of them directed by Mariano Ozores . Lina was a famous actress , she starred successful films , such as : ¨La Tonta Del Bote¨, ¨La llamaban la madrina¨ , ¨La Descarrida¨, ¨Fin Semana Al Desnudo¨ , ¨Pecados De Una Chica Decente ¨ , ¨Una Pareja Distinta¨ , ¨Esta Es Lo Que Es¨, ¨Un Dia con Sergio¨, ¨Imposible Para Una Solterona¨ , among others . Being specially known for his TV series such as ¨Hostal Royal Manzanares (1996), Una De Dos (1998) and Academia Baile Gloria (2001) , but she left ¨Escenas de Matrimonio¨ three weeks after joining the cast , due to health problems until her recent death in 2015 . Supporting cast is plenty of familiar faces such as : Antonio Ozores , Florinda Chico , José Sacristán , Ángel Aranda , Laly Soldevila , Mari Carmen y sus muñecos , Gracita Morales , Carlos Muñoz , María Luisa Ponte , Lola Herrera , Julio Riscal , Fernanda Hurtado , Goyo Lebrero and many others .

¨La Graduada¨ is a mediocre picture , being middlingly directed by Mariano Ozores in his usual style and had enough success in the Spanish box office . Mariano's family origin is into show business , being son of Mariano Ozores Sr and brother of José Luis Ozores and Antonio Ozores . Furthermore , uncle of Emma Ozores and Adriana Ozores . Many actors and technicians worked and ate thanks to the huge success of his films . Those contained many nude girls , laughs and slapstick . Mariano is a craftsman filmmaker and writer , in fact he wrote the fun screenplay , he recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career . Mariano made with two famous comedians -Fernando Esteso and Andres Pajares- several films , as they had various years partnership between the two leads , such as ¨Agitese Antes Usarla¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨ , ¨El Hijo Del Cura¨...these films are filled with humor that still holds up , especially for those not easily offended ; being sometimes cheesy and gross-out with numerous naughty and picaresque situations such as sex jokes , adulteries , crazy events , nudism , absurd situations , jealousy , and erotic scenes . Plus , they partially reflected the mood and the reality of Spain in the immediate Post-Franco era , dealing with politic juncture about the post-Franquismo in similar style to other films from this period . Ozores has a prolific career , as writer and as director , especially in comedy genre such as : Disparate Nacional , Tahiti's Girl , Brujas Magicas , Los Presuntos , Cuatro Mujeres Y Un Lío , Tío ¿De Verdad Vienen De París? , Alcalde Por Elección , Ellas Los Prefieren... Locas , El Apolítico , Jenaro El De Los 14 , Manolo La Nuit , El Abuelo Tiene plan , La Llamaban La Madrina , La Graduada , Venta Por Pisos and many others . Being his ordinary actors , the followings : Alfredo Landa , Lina Morgan , Paco Martínez Soria , Antonio Ozores , Jose Luis Ozores , Juanito Navarro .

Compelling story, very touchy. Exceptionnal cast, with unforgettable performances of Lina Morgan, Gracita Morales among others. One star, though, shines as a special luminary in this crowded sky. I refer to José Luis López Vázquez whose acting in this movie is an absolute must for any movie lover.

Even if the script is a bit conventional, the humor is pervasive and very cute across the whole story.

Very good photography, realistic but also striking a lyric chord. Outstanding soundtrack by one of the most inspired film composers of modern Spanish cinema.

My advice: Don't miss it under no circumstances!
