Ten years after a worldwide series of ape revolutions and a brutal nuclear war among humans, Caesar must protect survivors of both species from an insidious human cult and a militant ape faction alike.
Although the credit for actor John Landis, who plays "Jake's friend", leads to the famous future director of Animal House and The Blues Brothers, he is not that John Landis, who is tall and skinny with long black hair. The John Landis in this film is much older, not very tall, and balding. The character can be seen when the two men (a muscular Jake and his 'Friend', Landis) are trying to repair a wagon.
