Dynasty of Blood

Another classic from the ultimate Shaw Brothers team-up of director Chang Cheh with stars David Chiang and Ti Lung, and you get Chen Kuan Tai added to the mix too. This one's an epic outdoorsy adventure that tells of the friendship between the three titular 'blood brothers' as they start out as bandits before rising through the ranks, becoming government officers and eventually falling out. Not as action packed as some, nonetheless this works well thanks to the intense performances and high melodrama, leading to the classic Shaw climax.
