  • I saw this film then and i saw it yesterday and it is as funny as it was. This is very rare when it comes to the Polish comedies that was made at that time. Often they where so overloaded with symbols and metaphors placed there for the sake of the censorship that they were no more funny for someone who does not lived there.

This is a story of a thirty-something man and his struggle with a piece of paint he was responsible for at the art museum where he worked. The paint was accidentally taken and he was made responsible for the disappearance. He will be sentenced for some years jail, but manages to escape the police. He begins a voyage as a servant maid in the communist capital city of Warsaw. He also tries to recreate the painting by himself so he can return to his native work.

After all he figures out that he is much more better paid as a servant in Poland than an academic researcher he used to be...
  • "Poszukiwany, Poszukiwana" is a polish comedy about a man that works in an art museum, and a very valueble painting suddenly disappear. He is accused for robbery, and that is why he escape from his house and dress like a women, to not get catced by the police. This movie is a classic. I have watched this movie like five or six times, it's that good. Wojciech Pokora as Stanislaw was amazing, and when he become a women housekeeper, it is there were the action begin, were he has to learn how it is to be a housekeeper. The story flows very good, Stanislaw the Housekeeper travels across many homes, and this movie shows how some people are in their homes. The music and the actors were amazing, the dialogues were ironic and clever, they showed the polish communism very good, the action and the comedy was mixed together, with ironic dialogues and some slap stick. If you want to watch a classic comedy, then you should watch this one.
