The story of the legendary outlaw is portrayed with the characters as humanoid animals.
Originally, Friar Tuck was to be a pig, but was changed to a badger to avoid insulting religious sensibilities. The Sheriff of Nottingham was originally a goat, but was changed to a wolf as they seem better representing villains.
You know, there's been a heap of legends and tall tales about Robin Hood. All different too. Well, we folks of the animal kingdom have our own version. It's the story of what really happened in Sherwood Forest.
When Robin Hood and Little John (both disguised as gypsies) are allowed to kiss Prince John's hands, Robin is seen slyly slipping off one of the Prince's rings before kissing one of his hand, while Little John kisses off the stones from the Prince's rings on his other hand. In the next scene however, you see Prince John still has rings (sans stones) on both his hands.
