  • Inferior but fun comedy dealing with a doctor called Elvira (Lina Morgan) , she is an utter failure because of the moment she sees blood , she faints . Elvira , then , is treated by a sex-obsessed psychiatrist (Luis Sánchez Polack , ¨Tip¨) who attempts to abuse . As a new doctor , Elvira is destined to a small town called Pozales that had been without a General Practitioner since the old one died and most of the people went to see the veterinarian (José Sacristán) for their health troubles . Elena , accompanied by her mother (Maria Carmen Prendes) , arrives in the location and she is deceptively received . At the little town to be aware she is a young woman , the villagers receive her with distrust and suspicion , being completely rejected and isolated .

Funny and uneven comedy , appointed for all kind of public about a silly premise : a doctor woman when by that time it was unusual ; being regularly directed by the prolific Mariano Ozores . The hilarious happenings are continuous , surrealist , ridiculous and sometimes gross-out , but in some moments here and there , they are also bold and risible . This film is made to entertain , and this movie , especially for a good time and a pleasant amusement . Bemusing story with enjoyable but also absurd moments and attractive acting by likable comedians : Lina Morgan and José Sacristán . Here there are some nice jokes , comical sketches and the cast , playing eccentric characters , make a cosy fit . It is a nutty Spanish comedy that offers no intellectual stimulus whatsoever , though it has some entertaining and hilarious moments . The film attempts to give laughs but it falls short , resulting in a mediocre and sometimes embarrassing film . An enticing but disconcerting Spanish comedy film and with its ups and downs ; here our protagonist , the great Lina Morgan , demonstrates her real comical skills . The movies she played were funny and with many support's actors . The films were with short budget and lackluster but including comedy and lots of fun , and many of them directed by Mariano Ozores . Lina was a famous actress , she starred successful films , such as : ¨La Tonta Del Bote¨, ¨La Graduada¨ , ¨La Descarrida¨, ¨Fin Semana Al Desnudo¨ , ¨Pecados De Una Chica Decente ¨ , ¨Una Pareja Distinta¨ , ¨Esta Es Lo Que Es¨, ¨Un Dia con Sergio¨, ¨Imposible Para Una Solterona¨ , among others . Being specially known for his TV series such as ¨Hostal Royal Manzanares (1996), Una De Dos (1998) and Academia Baile Gloria (2001) , but she left ¨Escenas de Matrimonio¨ three weeks after joining the cast , due to health problems until her recent death in 2015 . Supporting cast is plenty of familiar faces such as : Manuel Alexandre , Nadiuska , José Riesgo , Venancio Muro , Gemma Cuervo , Antonio Ozores , Rogelio Madrid , Perla Cristal , Luis Sánchez Polack and many others .

¨Señora Doctor¨ is a below average picture , being middlingly directed by Mariano Ozores in his usual style and had enough success in the Spanish box office . Mariano's family origin is into show business , being son of Mariano Ozores Sr and brother of José Luis Ozores and Antonio Ozores . Furthermore , uncle of Emma Ozores and Adriana Ozores . Many actors and technicians worked and ate thanks to the huge success of his films . Those contained many nude girls , laughs and slapstick . Mariano is a craftsman filmmaker and writer , in fact he wrote the fun screenplay , he recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career . Mariano made with two famous comedians -Fernando Esteso and Andres Pajares- several films , as they had various years partnership between the two leads , such as ¨Agitese Antes Usarla¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨ , ¨El Hijo Del Cura¨...these films are filled with humor that still holds up , especially for those not easily offended ; being sometimes cheesy and gross-out with numerous naughty and picaresque situations such as sex jokes , adulteries , crazy events , nudism , absurd situations , jealousy , and erotic scenes . Plus , they partially reflected the mood and the reality of Spain in the immediate Post-Franco era , dealing with politic juncture about the post-Franquismo in similar style to other films from this period . Ozores has a prolific career , as writer and as director , especially in comedy genre such as : Disparate Nacional , Tahiti's Girl , Brujas Magicas , Los Presuntos , Cuatro Mujeres Y Un Lío , Tío ¿De Verdad Vienen De París? , Alcalde Por Elección , Ellas Los Prefieren... Locas , El Apolítico , Jenaro El De Los 14 , Manolo La Nuit , El Abuelo Tiene plan , La Llamaban La Madrina , La Graduada , Venta Por Pisos and many others . Being his ordinary actors , the followings : Alfredo Landa , Lina Morgan , Paco Martínez Soria , Antonio Ozores , Jose Luis Ozores , Juanito Navarro .

    Warning: Spoilers
One cold and rainy day in Spain made us stay indoors. There was nothing worth seeing, so this comedy showed up, and for lack of better things to do, we took a chance. To say this is a bad picture, would be an understatement. This is an example of what passed for cinema in the years when the country was still living under Franco, but we digress. This is not a film laden with leftist ideas, or civil war themes, that are so prevalent in what come from Spain these days. The film was intended, no doubt, to be a vehicle for its star, Lina Morgan, an actress that enjoyed popularity in her country for a long time.

The prejudice against a woman doctor in a small town, is at the center of the story. As a doctor, Elvira, is a complete failure because of the moment she sees blood, she faints. The small town had been without a doctor since the old one died. Most of the people went to see the veterinarian for their problems! Mariano Ozores enjoyed a long career making movies-by-the-numbers in his native country. This is a sample of the things he did for a living.
