Unlike most movie musicals, the performers sang live, as the camera rolled. It caused many production delays, partly because most of the actors were not trained singers.

The Camera begins on a silver music box on which rest bas-reliefs of the 4 principals, they dance to a song and then the camera pans around Kitty Kelly's sumptuous black-and white art deco penthouse.
Swedish cinema version had following songs deleted/shortened: "From Alpha to Omega" and "I love Him" was removed; "Which", "At Long Last Love", "Let's Misbehave" and "Just One of Those things" were shortened.
