second part of "Cantemir", it is an adventure film. decent made, mix of heroism, secrets and noble cause, trip across Europe of a brave captain , loyal to his ruler, events who are steps to discover a precious book, the film is nice, seductive, naive and not real different by many other films of period. its basic virtue - Iurie Darie in a role who reflects his athletic virtues, the meet, again, with great personalities from XVIII century. but the dialogues, the story itself are far to be impressive. and the best thing for not be too critic about this film is to not ignore the political context and its place in the Romanian cinematography political command.
