This movie is an obnoxious "La Grande vadrouille "ersatz ,one of those coarse comedies of which the French have the secret.
"Lady Marlene Operation " is a for -your- eyes only plan the Germans built up to invade England circa 1943 ; helped by new "resistant fighters" ,some of whom used to buy and sell on the black market (Michel Serrault and his suitcase recalling the highly superior "la traversée de Paris" )the general (not De Gaulle ) will carry the mission through a successful conclusion ; the German soldiers are so dumb that one sometimes wonder how France could have been defeated in the first place .
