A couple of English tourists arrive on an island where all the children have gone crazy and are murdering the adults.
The story is based on the novel "El juego de los niños" ("The Child's Game"), written by Juan José Plans. Differences with the novel include that, in the book, children become murderers after touching a strange yellow pollen, as well as several other story-lines that happen in parallel to the story seen in the film. Characters in the book also have different names to those seen in the film. Juan José Plans himself wrote and directed a radio adaptation of his novel, released in six episodes in 1999.
There is something wrong on this island and you're trying to keep it from me. If there is something wrong, then whatever it is, I think we should leave.
When Tom finds the switchboard operator's dead body, she is breathing as he leans over her.
