I remember this movie vividly from when it was on t.v. I'm sure I watched it at least two different times. I just thought Jim Stacy was the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen! And he happened to be a very good actor, too. I definitely liked the message that the movie conveyed, but I can honestly say that the best reason to watch it was that Jim Stacy was so great in it. I remember thinking that he would win an Emmy for it, but I don't know if he did. PLEASE, somebody, put this on DVD for us! I remember the locale being very beautiful, and Lee Majors and Barbara Hershey being good, but it was definitely a star vehicle for Jim Stacy.

Irenemazur1 September 2008I thought James Stacey gave a moving, inspirational performance in this unusual made-for-TV film. Despite the title, it must have been very taxing on him, physically and emotionally, to make this film and I'm sure it took great courage to do so. It really opens your eyes to how much we take for granted our ability to do even the simplest things and the challenges faced by the disabled to learn to do so many things over again in a different way. I suffer from osteoarthritis in my knees and while I am nowhere near as physically challenged as Mr. Stacey, I miss the things I used to be able to do and appreciate being able to do what I still can. Unfortunately, this film hasn't been shown more than a few times since it was made 31 years ago. I saw it when it originally aired and knowing it was a keeper, I was lucky to get it on tape the last time it aired, so I can watch it whenever I want to. It gives me the motivation I need to keep going when I feel I cannot. What a pity that in a day and age when we have cable TV and so many other films are shown over and over again in a month's time, films like "Just a Little Inconvenience" fall through the cracks and don't get the air time they deserve.

ssggoodhart30 December 2005I loved this movie. We have a friend, Hal Oleary, who heads the handicap program at the Winter Park ski area in Colorado. My mom is friends with James Stacy. I can't believe they haven't released this movie, I've tried amazon.com and everywhere else to get a copy, but apparently to no avail! The movie itself is very interesting, and inspiring. I've seen it twice which I believe is the only amount of times they've shown it. Unfortunately it was before I had a VCR, If it came on again, or better yet got released to video that would be great! I think its a true story which makes it all the more interesting. I am an avid skier and thats made the subject matter all the more pertinent to me.

schubarb-5593629 October 2016I saw this movie once by chance on TV and it changed my life. I still think about it and wish I could see it again. I was always afraid of trying things like skiing...I might break my leg or worse. Not that anyone put those ideas in my head. It came from inside me. After watching the movie I thought "why can't I ski?" I have two arms and two legs! I tried it, loved it and never looked back. I tried many things that a lot of people would not attempt. This year I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and made it to the summit....at age 61. I'm still looking for more adventures!

beebertie23 September 2005For crying out loud, now why in the world haven't we seen this on television in a while with all of the reruns that there are. To have just one leg and one arm skiing, looks and sounds impossible, but it isn't. Believe me this is a really wonderful drama that will definitely hold your interest. I've only seen it twice and that was before VCR's or DVD's were invented. The casting of Lee Majors, James Stacy & Barbara Hershey are perfect. For a while there you are in the other guy's shoes. You see just what kind of unbelievable courage it takes to hold yourself together and become the very best that you can be, no matter what the circumstances. Extremely entertaining at times with excellent scenery to go along with the drama. I could honestly say that this story on film is worth watching and doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth. You will most definitely laugh, as well as cry.

Social interactions between able bodies and disabled persons can also be challenging ... Lee Majors was a very credible spark with Stacy.
Why am I so enthusiastic about this movie? I have lived with a disability since 1949 - used a wheelchair since 1957. Love to get a copy of this video... can YOU HELP? -
