A young man who hauls liquor for moonshiners comes up against a competing gang of moonshiners who intend to get rid of him and take over his operation.
The concept of the movie originated from Frances Doel, after reading the 1973 novel Alp by William Hjortsberg, contacted him at his Montana home and she came up with the idea of a movie about two women and a robber on the run called Three's Company. Hjortsberg objected to the idea saying nobody would watch a movie like that. He made an agreement with Doel that he could write a moonshine car chase comedy and he wrote the script, all with assistance from Doel over the phone.
