During the chase in the sewer, the tires of Lupin's Mercedes Benz SSK are seen behind the water. In the next shot they are in front of the water. Note: This was corrected in all DVD releases; the tires now remain behind the water throughout.
In the sewer chase, the top of the windscreen of Lupin's car is present in close-ups, but vanishes in long shots.
When Lupin and Jigen search for the Philosopher's Stone, Lupin is shown wearing infrared goggles to check for traps. However, after they find the stone and briefly examine it, Lupin's goggles are shown to have disappeared.
When Zenigata's police commissioner informs him that he has been taken off the Lupin Case, the cigarette that he has been holding in his hand vanishes in the same shot.
Lupin, Jigen and Goemon use a long length of rope to escape the pyramids. However, when Zenigata curses Lupin and his gang after they evade him, the rope, which is of a considerable length and is fastened to the ground with a wooden stake, is gone.
When Lupin arrives at Mamo's temple, a sign bears the name 'Haward Lockewood.' This is a misspelling of Mamo's alter-ego, 'Howard Lockewood.' This error was not rectified in the Toho dub, the Manga dub, nor the Geneon dub. The Toho and Manga dubs increase the obviousness of the error by changing Mamo's alias to 'Foward Fughes'. However, the error was somewhat rectified in the Streamline dub, where the first name is pronounced in a manner similar to 'Hayward.'
The Toho dub renames most of the main characters, possibly to westernize them for American audiences. As a result, Inspector Zenigata is renamed 'Detective Ed Scott.' This name change is rendered somewhat incomprehensible when 'Scott's' police commissioner presents him with a bonus cheque with Zenigata's name (in kanji) written on it.
As well as the misspelling of Howard Lockwood, the "Haward Lockewood" sign has other spelling/translation mistakes, as it is labeled an "investingation for ancient remainsparty".
In the hotel room, Lupin remarks that a single strand of his hair is all that's needed for him to be cloned. Hair does not contain DNA unless it's had skin cells on it.
When Lupin, Jigen and Goemon emerge from the sewers after the helicopter chase, a manhole cover partially overlaps Goemon's hand (due to improper positioning of animation cels).
Lupin's head turns a slightly paler shade after he yawns.
When Lupin tells Goemon and Jigen that they should travel towards the ocean, his lips don't move at all, despite his face being clearly visible throughout. This error was repeated in the Toho and Manga dubs, but was corrected for the Streamline and Geneon dubs - Lupin does not say anything in the Streamline dub, while a related line is given to Goemon in the Geneon dub.
Some of Mamo's lines are poorly timed in the Geneon dub of the scene where he searches Lupin's brain, so after he's finished talking his mouth moves a couple more times but he doesn't say anything.
The Geneon dub has the film's events take place over a year after Lupin's apparent execution, yet the Lupin clone has shown no sign of decomposition by the time Zenigata finds the body.
Goemon is inconsistently referred to as 'Samurai' (an artifact from Toho's original English dub) and 'Go-men' throughout the Manga Entertainment dub.
