  • In this French/German production, Luc and Gaston get a job as bus drivers in order to hit on girls. One of them (I forget which) takes a girl called Marguerite to a fancy restaurant where they cannot afford anything on the menu. So they fake food poisoning and are sped to the hospital without paying. During the night he steals a nurses uniform in order to escape. All this happens before the actual plot gets started, but it shows you what kind of movie this is. It's all about getting everything for free (by taking advantage of others). Your typical comedy heroes.

Now Marguerite has missed her train, so the boys 'borrow' a bus from their fat slob of a boss to drive her and four girlfriends from Nice to Kitzbühel. They forget to take along any money, food, or even their passports but since all of them are natural born bullshit artists, they can always dupe other people into paying for them or giving them things for free. Along the way they pick up another couple of low life liars claiming to be DJ's, who add nothing to the proceedings. So now there are 4 guys and 5 girls on the bus but since 3 of the girls are quite plain, none of the guys show any interest in them (at last a hint of reality).

There is too much lame disco dancing along the way and some slapstick ski action after they arrive in Kitzbühel, but at least it never gets boring. Each scene presents a new opportunity to get away with something without paying. Also included is the usual sub plot about the girls' clumsy coach trying to catch up with them and predictably two bank robbers show up near the end, to show that the lead characters are not so amoral after all all. They all become hero's when they help to catch the real baddies. Didn't every comedy in the eighties end that way?
