The regulars of the Boston bar Cheers share their experiences and lives with each other while drinking or working at the bar where everybody knows your name.
Lucille Ball was a fan of the series, and met with the producers about possibly playing Diane's mother. But she backed out, because she felt that viewers would not accept her as a character that was different than her "Lucy" characters.
Would you like a beer, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: No, I'd like a dead cat in a glass.
The main entry door to the bar is always seen opening inward. Fire Codes mandate that any such entry/exit door open outward.
The style of the opening credits never changed throughout the series' 11 year run, unless a new cast member was added.
