| How funny, how ingenious, how.... Python
This is probably the movie which made me watch "life of brian" and "the holy grail". It is brilliant, I first heard of MP after I saw what I consider to be one of the best comedies ever filmed, "a fish called wanda", and I have seen every MP flick since then. In this masterpiece they have picked only the best scenes from their best movies: Silly walk, ..say no more..,silly Olympics, Michealangelo and many more. Even if you only have the slightest sense of humor you still must see this one it might change they way you judge comedies in the future.

Goofs

During the Bishop on the Landing Skit, a number of the actors could barely keep a straight face, and also when the church police came onstage and everyone jumped over, Terry Jones's wig flew completely off his head, forcing the other actors to slowly close ranks to allow him to replace his wig without anyone seeing.

Crazy Credits

The film's opening also features spanning shots of the audience, including some obvious die-hard Monty Python fanatics. Amongst them are someone dressed as a Spam vendor, someone dressed as Gumby (the Monty Python sketch character, not the green clay guy), and someone with a "Monty Python for President" sign.

Alternate Versions

In Europe, a remastered widescreen DVD of the performance is available. In America, the special is a bonus feature in the Monty Python 16 Ton Box Set, but it is an older transfer that is in rough shape, and a cropped fullscreen format. The cropping is painfully obvious in the closing credits, with some of the text slightly cut off.
