During the poker game Jack and the neighborhood ladies are playing when Caroline arrives home from work, the ladies all quickly get up to leave upon Caroline's arrival. In one brief shot, there are a group of "other" kids in the living room in addition to the three Butler kids. These kids presumably belong to the poker ladies. However, not a single one of the mothers walks out with their kid. Granted, they could have come back to get the kids. But it would have made a lot more sense to do this the first time.
While on the plane the ice bucket used for the wine has ice and then no ice in a few shots.
When Caroline walks in on Jack and his girlfriends playing poker, she says "Oh, pizza!" twice. Two different takes from two different angles were shot, and both mistakenly used.
When Jack kicks the television after son Kenny calls Caroline, the television screen is not broken. The next day the television repair woman finds a shoe has smashed it.
While Ron is flipping through the radio stations in Caroline's hotel room, you can hear the same DJ prattle that was on the kids' radio at the beginning of the movie.
In the race at Ron Richardson's house party, the contestants run through a tape line at the end of the first leg of the race and again at the end of the race.
When in the car at the grocery store and the kid pulls the gearshift down, he pulls it way down past the reverse selection to one of the forward gears yet the car goes backwards into the shopping carts behind them.
When Jack is at the deli and ask for a pound of cheese one of the options she gives is Cottage. Cottage cheese would be in the dairy case not at the deli.
Caroline waves at a bearded Jack in the upstairs window and gets in her car. She puts it in gear and drives away because the car was already started before she got in.
While Jack is in the basement trying to stop the washing machine's spraying water hoses, Kenny is yelling for help upstairs. As soon as he gets the water shut off, Jack turns quickly to run upstairs, using the concrete wall for support. As he pushes on the wall, the top moves out of place showing it is only a prop anchored at the floor only. As soon as he lets go, it bounces back into position.
Toward the end of the movie as Caroline is returning home and notices Joan's car parked outside her house, the car is actually parked in Jack & Caroline's neighbor's driveway, not theirs.
When Ron walks over to Caroline to say "There are no kids to go home to tonight," he walks too close to the boom mic and his voice echoes.
After Jack turns the water off at the washing machine, he runs from the basement to rescue a kid from the vacuum cleaner upstairs. As he is running he pushes against the concrete block wall to get past the washing machine and the wall moves. A concrete block wall in a basement would not normally move.
When Caroline is falling asleep in the shower and Jack wakes her up, she is wearing a tan bathing suit when she jumps up.
When Jack first meets Ron, his chainsaw is making loud, typical chainsaw sounds as if it is fully engaged (saw on, trigger pulled). However, the actual chainsaw blade alternates from not moving at all to moving very slowly--indicating that the saw is either idling or not even turned on.
As previously mentioned, when Jack shuts off the water and pushes against the wall the wall moves, but immediately after he pushes the washing machine, which he previously overloaded and is now full of water and soaking wet clothes, and it moves as if sitting on a large single spring.
When the baby eats the chili, she knocks the can on the floor from her stroller and it makes a clank sound as if hitting a hard floor. But it lands on the carpet and there should not have been any sound coming from an empty can landing on carpet when dropped from a height of just a foot or so.
Though the movie takes place in Detroit, mountains can be seen from Ron Richardson's backyard.
Plot takes place in Detroit, Michigan. In supermarket, you clearly see a display for C&C cola/sodas. C&C sodas are distributed only in the northeast United States. Detroit, Michigan is in the north central.
When Jack goes to the temp agency the building is a stock shot of a building in Los Angeles seen in many TV shows.
There would be no reason for the parents' traffic route at school to be reversed when dropping off or picking up their kids. Entering on the right would always be the best option so that passengers could leave or board directly at the curb.
In the last scene of the movie we see the Tuna commercial, which had been shot the day before, playing on the TV. It would be impossible for a commercial to be shot, edited, finished and delivered to any particular network for airing all in less than a 24 hour period.

The baby is eating chili but she is in a walker. There is no way she could reach down and pick up the chili can from the kitchen floor.
