This WW2 epic was one of the last movies of that kind made in former Yugoslavia. It tells the true story of great transport of Partizans from Vojvodina to Bosnia in 1943.
Robert Vaughn in his autobiography " A Fortunate Life" remembers this as being one of his worst location experiences. On at least 3 occasions, there was no driver to pick him and his co-stars at the end of a day's filming, and they had to hitchhike a 100 miles to their hotel.
