At Adams College, a group of bullied outcasts and misfits resolve to fight back for their peace and self-respect.
Curtis Armstrong, Michelle Meyrink and Timothy Busfield all play their own musical instruments. Timothy Busfield is not a violin player, and he was told his inept practicing would be overdubbed by a proper violinist. He was dismayed when his discordant screechings made it into the film.
Well, let's get those nerds!
Stan Gable: Nerds!
Stan Gable: What are we *waiting* for?
As was listed in another goof, there were some inconsistencies with the scores during the Greek Games portion of the Homecoming Carnival. Part of this is because one of the events, a Chariot Race, was cut from the final version of the movie (the Chariot Race can be seen on the "panty raid edition" DVD under Deleted Scenes.)
The opening credits sequence is played over the Nerds' drive to Adams College.
The Castilian Spanish version was titled "La Revancha de los Novatos", "The Revenge of the Freshmans". The word "Nerd" was changed to "Freshman", and that was kept for the next movies too.
