Kyle Reese and the human resistance know a great deal about Skynet's plan to kill Sarah Connor in the past. Since there's no need for Skynet to write such a plan down or to even store it in its memory banks, how could they have discovered it? Even worse, the majority of the information actually seems to have come from John Connor's memories of what his mother told, despite the fact that she definitely would only possess the barest sketch of what Skynet had planned with most of that coming from Kyle Reese who in turn was told what he knows by John Connor.
The opening credits run while large outlines of the two halves of THE TERMINATOR cross each other. After the last directorial credit is shown, the title THE TERMINATOR zooms backward, is filled by metallic blue, and reveals itself.
