Four previously married women live together in Miami, sharing their various experiences together and enjoying themselves despite hard times.
The house's kitchen was recycled from the short-lived Susan Harris series It Takes Two (1982), which ran in 1982-83. After the first few episodes in season 1, the polka dot wallpaper of the original kitchen was replaced with a leafy pattern, deemed to be more "tropical" in appearance.
I swear with God as my witness, I will never pick up another man!... in a library... on a Saturday... unless he's cute... and drives a nice car... Amen
The layout of the house is entirely illogical. Not only does it not match the exterior shown, but the lanai is not in the back of the house, it's on the side of the front. The back hallway of the kitchen does not lead to the garage, it runs into the hallway to the bedrooms. The hallway to the bedrooms exists by itself, as either side of it leads to the kitchen or the backyard. The door on the side of the garage is on the wrong wall according to the layout of the kitchen, and the exterior of the house.
The DVD releases restore 2 minutes of footage not seen since the original broadcasts.
