  • This is my favorite action-adventure movie from Hong Kong, about a girl named San (Sally Yeh) who visits 1985 Hong Kong from the future to warn the people about impending wars. She is instructed to eliminate the man (Wai Lam) indirectly responsible for those wars, but is thwarted by a spirit (Po-Chih Leong).

The plot is intriguing and exciting, providing a to-the-point story and no unnecessary fillers. It's a fast-paced movie that will grasp the audience's attention immediately, helped with an adventurous and catchy music score by Violet Lam.

Wai Lam does an excellent job playing Lam Fung, who is in charge of a foundation plant and is protected from danger by the spirit of his great-grandfather, Tang San (Po-Chih Leong). Lam delivered good on-screen drama, balanced by some light and witty humor by Leong. Sally Yeh plays female lead San, who's mission is to eliminate Fung but ended up getting mixed in with an unlikely relationship with him and in a cat and mouse chase with the ghost.

There is not too much action in the film, save for a couple of scenes toward the climax. However, it is a suspenseful adventure that should have you glued in your TV.
