Holly's got problems!

Christy Canyon poses topless for a photographer at the opening credits. She's the title character Holly Body and the problems with this flick is not so much hers. "Holly" has too much scenes inserted in a short frame. A severe case of fast takes and quarter decent intercourse. (An estimated 13 sex scenes)

Its kind of misleading cause she going's to be a porn star in the Other Hollywood. Probably a spoof then, because of lot performers end up in the porn industry instead of Hollywood. In the rarer of cases, ex porn stars turn it around by using porn as stepping stone to the mainstream.

Holly gets picked up by Marc Wallice's character at the airport. He takes her to Hollywood to be a star. She meets Brian (Craig Roberts) who takes pictures of Amber Lynn servicing Tim Long. Holly imagines herself in a 3some with them. Not good. Amber does Greg Rome.

Brian takes Holly to home of married movie producers Ron and Mary Ann; they screw but he ends too quickly. She lets him know it. Holly comes (no pun) by and the couple joins her in the jacuzzi. Awful lighting. Ron takes Hollywood missionary style and abruptly concludes. The wife knocks him again :-)

Holly gets first "photo session" with Ron Jeremy, Blake Palmer, James Miles. Not Sexy. Bad. Editing. With his green "California" t-shirt, Brian takes his turn with Holly. Better than that awful 4some.

Holly and Tracy (Traci Lords) breaks after a workout and end up in the shower. Brian and pal (David Sanders) seizes the opening. Tracy bangs Brian. Holly does the Sanders guy. Nice scenes. Beautiful females.

The movie ends up at some kind of upscale party. Ron (Mann) leaves his wife Mary Ann at home and meets Sherri (Pamela Jennings) poolside. They hook up privately to pleasure each other. Holly and Steve Drake observe people getting laid in different rooms. They Erica Boyer and Laurie Smith in lesbian acts. Ron Jeremy makes it a threesome. Would have been better if he was attractive. Damn.

Traci Lords screws Marc Wallice and in a living room. Peter North does a Roxanne Rollan. Holly and her guy end up in bed.

Canyon's canyons

Holly (Christy Canyon) travels to Hollywood to see if she can make it in the world of entertainment. First stop is stopping by a porn studio where Amber Lynn is shooting a scene, afterwards the director sends her to a couple producers. Then another sex scene. Holly gets home and masturbates in the hot tub while thinking about another sex scene, then her friend's wife joins her, then hubby and... well you get the point. Even by porn standards the plot is flimsy. But with Miss Canyon, I don't care. I always found Christy far hotter than Traci Lords any day of the week. And what that film lacks in plot it more then makes up far in pure sexual energy.

Below average in a lot of ways

This film has been out of print for many years and comes in 2 versions, a half length minus Traci Lords and a full length video only available on certain websites and chances are it has been re-dubbed and edited a few times by the star, Christy Canyon, or her boyfriend Mark Phillips who produced and directed it. Canyon often mentions Phillips and Tina Marie in her bio about her start in porn. The film has so many hot setup scenes, especially those with Traci, but runs out of steam when a good cum shot is needed. Since Canyon stars in most of it as Holly, she is given a few exceptions to this. Canyon walks from room to room at a wild party where Peter North and a few other good talents are given a bit of a short shift while she opens the door and looks at their great climaxes. Some distracting chatter like, "Peter, how's the weather up there?" or "When does lunch get here?" could be avoided. Traci and Christy almost have a good girl/girl before the guys arrive, another scene that missed the boat.
