The new kid in school must battle a gang of street toughs after stealing the gang leader's girl.
On the wall of a building, there is graffiti that reads "The New Avengers". Robert Downey Jr. (Jimmy) would go on to play Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and James Spader (Morgan) would go on to play Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).
I don't know. If you ask me, he's either the toughest guy at Lawson or the stupidest.
Feather: No way. He went to one of those brain factories back east, and I mean the guy's head is totally crammed.
Frankie Croyden: Yeah, with bullshit!
In James Spader's first appearance in the film the patch on the back of his leather jacket is slashed with a car antenna. Although the patch is still slashed when he arrives at school the next day, it next appears fully intact later the same day at school while Spader is talking to Robert Downey, Jr.
During the end credits, we see Morgan, Frankie, Jimmy and Ronnie dancing and playing instruments with Jack Mack and the Heart Attack at Club 60's.
West German VHS version (released under the title "Love-Fighters") was cut by ca. 9 minutes. Much of the violence, some dialog and minor scenes have been removed. In addition, any reference to Jack Mack and The Heartattack and their song "So Tuff" at the end was omitted; instead, the song "Love Fighters" by the German band Lipps is played.
