  • A formulaic, inoffensive couple-with-kids sitcom, with nothing in particular to distinguish it except the presence of Elliott Gould... Then one day, with the series scarcely up and running, Elliott Gould is no longer in the cast. Incredibly, the name is changed to "Nothing Is Easy" (reflecting the sudden single parenthood) and the supporting cast of unknowns attempts to soldier on. Got to give them credit for trying, but there was nowhere to go with the memory of the departed father except a place too sad for this kind of comedy.
  • This Show is kind of cute but only within even its limited premise. Just When The Parents thought that The Social Worker was Showing up to take their Adopted Daughter away,of whom they adopted because they seemingly couldn't have any biologically but then Lo and behold suddenly by surprise got to have their son,Then only to find out she really came to offer them an Asian Boy who needed a home and they said they would but then he said he wouldn't be adopted without his "Sister" of whom turned out to an African-American Girl as well as a reasonable facsimile of "Rudy" on "The Cosby Show."This is another typical premise like in the Movie "Mixed Company." The Couple couldn't adopt The Native American Girl without The Escimo Boy.Also The Similar Idea to the Episode of "The Brady Bunch." of which showed a couple who by their first adopted Son's wish got to adopt his 2 friends of whom turned out to be of 2 other ethnicities one who's Asian-American and the other who's African-American.The Episode was called "The Kelly Lids." and of which would serve as a Pilot for a Series with the same name but fell through and as I read in The Brady Bunch Book would still be an inspiration for this show of which would after first being called as said above "Together we Stand."then later known after its hiatus as "Nothing is Easy."Because of the Father being killed in a car accident with the Mother having as a result having twice as much responsibility. Then only for it to last for 2 more episodes too.

  • I loved the show TOGETHER WE STAND and only lasted one season, and in Spain was only seen once, for 1988, what happened that they didn't aired more seasons?, it was a very great show and it was never emitted again, and now I have the opportunity of write about the show, now that I found this page and I found the show, other series like GROWING PAINS, THE COSBY SHOW or A DIFFERENT WORLD lasted more seasons and this series that was fantastic was only emitted once. Now I don't believe that it can be emitted again because it was a lot of years, it was very enjoyable, other series like EASY STREET or LIFE WITH LUCY were never emitted again neither but TOGETHER WE STAND was a wonderful show and they could emit it again. Thanks. ANA.
  • I don't even remember this show. I was nearly 10 years old and it's on a YouTube list of 21 Barely Memorable TV Sit-Coms From 1985-1989. WTF is so memorable about two parents and their kids?
