Ellen Ripley is rescued by a deep salvage team after being in hypersleep for 57 years. The moon that the Nostromo visited has been colonized, but contact is lost. This time, colonial marines have impressive firepower, but will that be enough?

(at around 1h 3 mins) When Ripley and Gorman are arguing in the APC as the marines first come under attack, Ripley's head set cord is wrapped around her microphone boom in one shot, and then it isn't.
The ALIENS title forms slowly during the opening credits. The full title isn't seen until the opening credits are finished, and the "I" illuminates brightly.
During the Marines' initial search through the colony, a sequence has been inserted in which Hudson and Vasquez investigate some motion they have detected ahead of them. It turns out to be pet hamsters walking around in their cage.
